Château Face Off

Château Face Off was definitely one of my favourite explores of 2016. Smaller than I had anticipated, the Château was full of relics from the former occupants most notably three rather unusual bustes. The first and probably most photographed was the one pictured above which was broken and worn, missing half its jaw and with an absent expression due to the lack of a mouth, I can’t say I’ve ever seen anything like it and I found it fascinating. I’m not quite sure how long this place has been abandoned but I would estimate based on a few documents found around the place about 10-15 years, there were some signs of refurbishment works having been started in some of the empty bedrooms, but these were clearly not very recent.
