The Abandoned, or it would be more correct to say closed Loudoun Castle Theme Park is built on the site of the old Loudoun Castle which was originally constructed in the early 1800’s. The castle was destroyed in a devastating fire back in 1942 and only the ruins featured below are remaining from the former structure. The remaining few rides which haven’t been sold off and relocated are at the rear of the castle ruins. We managed to catch a few snaps of the castle and the red roller coaster before we had to make a move :). Visited with Stussy and Baron Scotland, cheers for showing us around guys :).
The Theme Park itself was only constructed in with mid 1990’s finally opening in 1995 but closing only 15 years later in 2010. The Park itself is rumoured to have never returned a profit in the years which it was open.

This place sounds like it’s a bit of an adventure! That first shot of the castle is awesome.
