Globe Mill is an old abandoned textile mill located in a small village near Huddersfield. The old stone building is very well built and surprisingly suffering little decay. There are plans which are undergoing review for a complete refurbishment of the site introducing accommodation, doctors, shops and a planned supermarket.
Part 2 of this visit to the abandoned Ark Synagogue in Liverpool. Plenty to see at this place and lots of nice light so I ended up with more photos than expected. I hope you enjoy the rest of the report 🙂
An abandoned grade 2 listed Greenbank Synagogue in Liverpool which was built in 1936/1937 and then closed in 2008 when it was given grade 2 listed status. The building is falling into a state of disrepair but was still full of all sorts of contents to photograph…
Briefly the Camelot Theme Park opened some 30 years ago in 1983 and continued to operate seasonally until 2012 which was to be the Theme parks last year before finally closing its doors. The park has since lay abandoned while the majority of the ride are sold off to other amusement parks. Two of the remaining highlights are the Knightmare and Dragon Flyer roller-coasters…
The abandoned Latvian Consulate is an abandoned luxury farm and stables property valued at approximately ÂŁ1,000,000. Sadly the building has been subject to a lot of vandalism and damage. Most of the windows are smashed doors are broken and fixtures and fittings ripped from their place.
The abandoned Cookridge Convalescent Hospital on Hospital Lane. Built in a Gothic vernacular style, it opened in 1869 to provide a place for patients treated at Leeds General Infirmary to continue their recovery.
Briefly The abandoned Chocolate Works was the confectionery factory of Terry’s of York, England. Opened in 1926, it closed in 2005 with the loss of 300 jobs, with production moved to other Kraft Foods sites in mainland Europe.
L’école FMP A rather large interesting abandoned school / college in the middle of a built up area in France. Some of the highlights were the lecture theatre and the vast corridors full of classrooms. No front externals for the moment but it was a pretty impressive building…
A little Scottish Chapel. Visited with Baron Scotland and Stussy. I understand this place has taken quite a beating these days alot of statues stolen or removed but still with the right light its alright for a couple of shots 🙂 glad we stopped off…
The Abandoned, or it would be more correct to say closed Loudoun Castle Theme Park is built on the site of the old Loudoun Castle which was originally contructed in the early 1800’s. The castle was destroyed in a devastating fire back in 1942.
