Another old crumbling Château, Château P12 was a place we had on the map to visit based upon seeing a few older reports and photos. The place looked to have some decent contents left and some cool features. Visited with Andy de Kay of Behind Closed Doors, as we arrived I was pretty impressed with the place. Surrounded on all 4 sides by a pretty large moat still full with enough water to make passage uninviting we considered our options. 2 Bridges to choose from we opted for one and made our way onto the little island :).
From the outside, this place reminds me a little of Château de Singes not quite as wide but sharing some similar features. Once inside, I was a little disappointed. As can sometimes be the case, the majority of the interesting articles left behind had been damaged or removed with only a few bits left. There were signs that someone had been trying to repair the building, but I’m unsure if that is still ongoing. Enjoy the photos:
