The majestic abandoned Château Du Cavalier sits in the middle of spiralling grounds surrounded by a large wall and metal fencing at the front. There isn’t a great deal of information that I can share on this place except the fact that it has been purchased by a businessman who is hoping to renovate the place. Certainly one of the more impressive Château’s in France the building is still in pretty good condition with only minor signs of water damage present in some rooms. The roof on the whole is in good nick, but sadly some of the interior features such as the main entrance have been stripped of their original features.
Visited this time with Andy K of Behind Close Doors and Scott Darby we hit up this place as the last spot on this trip narrowly making our train back to the UK after a quick rush around the place. This was my second time here, more than happy to revisit this one and many thanks to Andy for allowing me to use his Sigma 15mm for a few fish eye shots. If you want to see the photos from the first report there a link at the bottom of this post. Enjoy the revisit snaps 🙂
