This building from what I understand was once a private residence but was later used as a retirement home / residential care centre which catered for the elderly in their final days. Despite its name there was little evidence to suggest that this building functioned as anything other than a care home. There were a couple of beds in the basement which could have been consultation tables but I would suspect that few medical treatments would have taken place here…
The abandoned Monastery Mont G. There is not a lot of information about this place that I can share a very large complex the huge chapel is flanked by corridors of rooms used for accommodation and teaching. Visited with Kriegaffe9 and Andy K as part of the ‘missing man tour’ I was really pleased to see the inside of this place, the huge chapel was quite impressive and I quite liked the ground floor corridors which were starting to show signs of decay. An old abandoned geriatric Hospital which was previously a sanatorium built in 1957 and functioned for the majority of its history as a hospital for retired and elderly people, this now trashed building still contains lots of wheelchairs a reminder of what the place once was. Shortly before its closure it was been replaced by a newer building which sits directly opposite this now burnt out concrete shell of a site…
