A mock Elizabethan styled Manor House near Doncaster, once owned by a Doctor / psychiatrist? Someone who had a thing for classic cars and hi-fi’s based on the numerous magazines, car parts and beautiful classic cars in the garage. Seems to have been vacated in the early 1990’s and looks to be partly refurbished, More recently the thick unkept hedge / row of conifers in front of the building have been cleared. This leaves the place a little more open and unsurprisingly there has been a little more vandalism inside along with some graffiti cover in the pool area. Also, sadly the cars have taken a little bit of a bashing with the windscreen having been put through and a door partially ripped off. I’m wondering if someone might have bought the property recently and is intending to do something with the site, the hedge clearance was certainly a sign of something going on.
A little flying visit with Pete Costello as we travelled back to base. We didn’t stay long and I didn’t take a great deal of photos but I was glad in some ways to get a decent external of the place now the hedge has gone. The damaging of the cars was really disappointing, in hindsight I should have taken some photos of it but I got distracted. If you haven’t already seen the initial report from October 2012 check it out for more photos including the cars and a comparison for the pool without graffiti.
