Château Japonais aka Château des Chasseurs

Urbex: Château Japonais aka Château des Chasseurs, France – October 2014

A huge Château located in a large grounds, Château Japonais aka Château des Chasseurs is quite isolated from the nearby homes. This gorgeous castle has been somewhere I have wanted to photograph since I saw pictures online. Clearly the building had fallen into disrepair but observations during our trip suggest that the building is undergoing some renovation works and will one day hopefully be restored to its former glory…

Mont G Monastery

Urbex: Mont G Monastery, Belgium – May 2014

The abandoned Monastery Mont G. There is not a lot of information about this place that I can share a very large complex the huge chapel is flanked by corridors of rooms used for accommodation and teaching. Visited with Kriegaffe9 and Andy K as part of the ‘missing man tour’ I was really pleased to see the inside of this place, the huge chapel was quite impressive and I quite liked the ground floor corridors which were starting to show signs of decay. Enjoy the photos.

Pensionnat Catholique -The Chapel

Urbex: Pensionnat Catholique Boarding School, France – May 2014

Pensionnat Catholique is an abandoned Boarding School somewhere in France. The place is huge! Complete with a large chapel which shockingly was not located on the ground floor… There was also a large sports hall and lots of sprawling corridors of classrooms and labs. Visited this time with Kriegaffe9 and Andy K as part of the ‘missing man’ tour we spent a few hours here before sunset capturing the really nice light which was streaming through the windows in the late afternoon!

Pitchfork Abbey aka The Sweat Shop

Urbex: Pitchfork Abbey aka The Sweat Shop, Somewhere, United Kingdom – February 2014

An abandoned convent somewhere in the United Kingdom. After receiving a tip off from a good friend that this place was once again open we made it priority number one to visit. After making our way in very early and passing time in the main chapel while the sun started to give us enough light to work with, we began to shoot for what was probably less than an hour before we were interrupted…
