The place looked to have some decent contents left and some cool features. Visited with Andy de Kay of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bcd-urbex.com\" target=\"_blank\">Behind Closed Doors<\/a>, as we arrived I was pretty impressed with the place. Surrounded on all 4 sides by a pretty large moat still full with enough water to make passage uninviting we considered our options. 2 Bridges to choose from we opted for one and made our way onto the little island :).<\/p>\n<p>From the outside, this place reminds me a little of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.proj3ctm4yh3m.com\/urbex\/2014\/04\/28\/urbex-chateau-de-singes-aka-castle-of-monkeys-aka-chateau-la-folie-france-march-2014\/\">Ch\u00e2teau de Singes<\/a>\u00a0not quite as wide but sharing some similar features. Once inside, I was a little disappointed. As can sometimes be the case, the majority of the interesting articles left behind had been damaged or removed with only a few bits left. There were signs that someone had been trying to repair the building, but I&#8217;m unsure if that is still ongoing.
