St Mary’s Asylum Church<\/p><\/div>\n

One of the Asylums which I unfortunately missed when it was in its prime. the derelict St Mary’s Hospital aka Gateshead Borough Asylum is now stripped bare and is an active building site. Very little remains of what was once left behind at this place. The Church however is in surprisingly good condition compared to the rest of the buildings and is currently sectioned off from the building site. A couple of shots of the chapel and a quick mooch around the rest of the shells of the former buildings and we were on our way to the next spot! Visited with AndyK and Dystopia. Its worth a google to check out some previous reports from this place, there was an awesome Morgue complete with a cool slab and a few nice peely corridors \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
