Café Mousel

Urbex: Café Mousel, Luxembourg – May 2015

There’s not a lot to say about the abandoned Café Mousel, an unassuming building which extended at the rear to house a bowling alley, large function room, kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms for guests upstairs and a bar / cafe area at the front…

Maison Hommel - Bedroom

Urbex: Maison Hommel, Luxembourg – May 2015

Not much to say about this little abandoned house named Maison Hommel. Small but full of old belongings it appeared as if this place has been empty for a decade or so…

Maison Greiveldinger

Urbex: Maison Greiveldinger, Luxembourg – May 2015

Maison Greiveldinger is a small abandoned little house in Luxembourg which is just off a main road in built up area. The gardens, largely reclaimed by nature were full of thick brambles which made it tricky to reach the main building…

Château Wendel and the Bureau Central was originally built in 1704 and acquired in 1720 byJean Martin Wendel to act as the central office for the Steelworks owned and operated by the family. The Alienworks - Turbines

Urbex: The Alienworks, France – May 2015

The Alienworks is a relatively small power station attached to an old steel works which closed some time ago. The site which houses a lot of abandoned buildings also had a large blast furnace but sadly we didn’t get the opportunity to see it up close or climb it…

Villa P

Urbex: Villa P, Italy – April 2015

Villa P is a pretty sizable abandoned villa which sits on the edge of a large body of water making it a prime location. Much more visually appealing from the outside, this villa has seen better days… the inside is heavily decayed and leave much to the imagination as to how this place would have once looked…

Red Cross Hospital - Chapel

Urbex: Red Cross Hospital, Italy – April 2015

Another lovely abandoned location in Italy, the Red Cross Hospital sits empty, on a hillside in a pretty remote locations. The weather was incredibly hot as we made our way inside and wondered about searching for the chapel which wasn’t as obvious to locate as we had expected…

Pigeon Church

Urbex: Pigeon Church, Scotland – June 2013

Externally the building looks more like a town hall or courtroom building rather than a church and the bell towers appears to have been a later addition perhaps the building may have had a previous function in its history. Unsure how long this one had been abandoned but its certainly becoming worse for wear!

Villa Dennis - Bed time

Urbex: 5 Hat Manor aka Villa Dennis aka La Maison d’Emile Belgium – December 2012

I suppose this will have been my first well preserved house explore.  I really enjoyed it! loads of stuff to see and very photogenic. If memory serves correct we found reasonable evidence to suggest that the house has been left from the early 70’s relatively untouched. There does appear to be some flat packed furniture…

Mirfield Mill - Light painting

Urbex: Holdsworth Mill, Mirfield, Kirklees Yorkshire – October 2008

Mirfield Mill aka Holdsworth’s Card Clothing Mill. I don’t really know any history to this place, couldn’t find much on the web. I do believe it has since been demolished, I haven’t seen it for myself but google searches point to that conclusion…
