Quite likely my last visit to this Castle, for those who might not have already heard the castle is being demolished / dismantled and work began shortly after my visit last year.Plenty of photos have circulated showing the tops of the towers and turrets removed and laying on the ground as well as other clearance works on the grounds…
As you progress through the factory you can see the process lin taking shape from the wood pulp coming in through the processing stages, bleaching and pressing and then eventually making it was to the more modern looking machinery for precision rolling, cutting and packaging before the huge roles of cigarette papers would leave the warehouse
Robert Fletchers & Sons Ltd was a paper mill which specialised in the production of cigarette papers which were exported worldwide. The old factory and most of the contents now lay abandoned most of the equipment looks as if the workers just vanished with huge rolls of cigarette papers still hanging on rolls in the production process machines!
Another late night high rise mission! Yet another rooftop in London, this time a random construction site with a rather impressive view. Fortunately much taller than the first spot of the evening this one provided much more appealing wide views of the capital city…
At the south eastern part of the Beelitz site you can find one of the most interesting and visually appealing of the Hospital buildings, Zentral Badehaus the Central Bath House. Whilst one of the iconic features of this building is the stunning huge domed room with the sunken T shaped bath, this unaltered example of the original architecture is just one of the many rooms which contain amazing detail retained from the initial build…
No information on this one for the moment, I may populate this report later with text but for now its a big hole in the ground, aka a Mine in wales that has a pretty awesome feature to it…a huge cascade of abandoned vehicles flooding in from a hole at the top into a lake, now presumably full of all sorts of skin rotting chemicals :).
The Abandoned Hotel Thermal aka Hotel Des Theremes is a derelict hotel rotting away somewhere in France. The hotel complex is quite large and we only managed to explore one of the main buildings, what appeared to be accommodation area and recreational areas. There is very little information on the Abandoned Château de Singes which I could find on the internet. I’ve read that the House was built in the 17th Century and that the last owners vacated in around 1976. Singes is one of those buildings that just has some wow factor about it both internally and externally.
Briefly The abandoned Chocolate Works was the confectionery factory of Terry’s of York, England. Opened in 1926, it closed in 2005 with the loss of 300 jobs, with production moved to other Kraft Foods sites in mainland Europe.
