The Queen Elizabeth II Hospital - Operating Theatre

The History of The Queen Elizabeth II Hospital

The now abandoned Queen Elizabeth II Hospital was the first major hospital built by the NHS and accommodated 100 patients. in 2015 A new hospital opened on the same site after a £30 million investment in modern services. The old site was closed and earmarked for demolition to make way for a new housing development.

Our Visit

Made it to this one a little too late after all the power had been shut off and a lot of the fixtures had been stripped. Fortunately, the operating theatre lights still remained in the circular room :). A relatively modern building with little decay but an enjoyable explore.
