The Royal Hospital Haslar Rooftop at Sunrise

History of The Royal Hospital Haslar

A full and comprehensive history of Haslar Hospital can be found in this previous report. Briefly, this huge Naval Hospital was built on the south coast of England in 1753 and closed its doors in 2009 after more than 250 years of service.

Our Visit

Visited this place with a few friends who wanted to check out the padded cell. We started off the day with a few rooftop photos as the sun came out then headed inside to capture a few interior shots of the main hospital before waiting for the right time to head for the padded cell. Fortunately, we got out shots before heading back to the car for the long journey home. I think this might be my last trip to this one which I understand is already subject to the beginning of its renovation works. Enjoy the photos:

If you’ve made it this far… thanks for reading / checking out the pictures. Leave me a comment below or hit the like button to let me know you’ve enjoyed the shots and to encourage me to keep posting more 🙂
